Kids Pot and Plant Day

Introduce the kids to nature this winter with our Pot and Plant Day on Saturday 24th of June.

The children will learn about the importance of planting trees and keeping nature alive with various activities tailored for the K-7 age range.

Participants will decorate and create their own plaque to display with a tree they plant on the day. The trees will be from selected species as food stock for Koalas in the Southern Tablelands. The plantings will contribute to our Koala program, research and future bush, care planting programs.

The children are encouraged to bring something that represents nature to them, to be buried in a time capsule. Everyone will be invited back in 10 years to open the capsule, remember the experience of the day and see how their tree's have grown.

The day includes an opportunity to feed the animals, tour of the wildlife sanctuary, lunch in our picnic area and some games.

Finally, everyone will take home their own seed samples to continue the experience and contribute to your own home gardening.

Take part in our Wildlife Photography Workshop while the kids are entertained and get 50% off the Kids Pot and Plant Day price.
