Welcome to the first of our Nursery Workshops for 2017.
This workshop will start with a guided tour of the Wirrimbirra Sanctuary Nursery, pulling back the curtain on the backstage work of a production nursery from propagation to presentation.
We will spend some time on a plant's journey from seed to sale. Sowing seeds collected on the property will start getting our hands dirty, along with potting up plants and some tips and tricks to help keep natives growing well in your garden. This includes potting your own plant to take home.
To close out the workshop, we will plant some eucalyptus feed trees for our Koala program and share stories over a sausage sizzle.
Location: Wirrimbirra Sanctuary, Bargo NSW.
Date: Saturday, 11 February 2017
Time: 10:00 - 12:00 | Sausage Sizzle from 12:00
Cost: $10 per person (includes sausage sizzle and potted plant)
