Spring Working Bee
Thank you to everyone able to spend some time for the spring working bee, held on 27 September 2015.
Lots of care goes into maintaining Wirrimbirra Sanctuary and we love having everyone involved. The group weeded, pruned and raked to improve and maintain our Bush Tracks, working both sides of the sanctuary. It is a great credit to our volunteers, workers, and friends that the eastern side continues to be kept in pristine condition.
Some were only able to make it for a few hours and every small contribution makes a big difference. That little bit we do lifts some of the burden for others in the future and working in the open air is good for the body and soul. It was also nice to out in the sun, while Sydney-siders sheltered from the rain.
The food was great [thanks Jenny] with sausage sizzle and salad. We also planted more koala trees to support re-establishment of Koalas in the local Bargo area.
Look out for our summer working bee - date to be advised.
